Approximately 12 months ago, I had the opportunity to field test approximately 1 gallon of the Microbe Guard RTE product supplied to me by Microbe Guard of Oregon.

I applied the Microbe Guard product per instructions with a spray bottle to a wide range of building and fixture substrates including ceramic tile, plastics, cotton fabrics, vitreous china, stainless steel, and finished & unfinished wood. These substrates were placed in exterior and interior environments and exposed to varying solar exposures and humidity, and generally adjacent to identical untreated control surfaces. In the case of shower surfaces or toilet fixtures, standard cleaning procedures were continued as before.

I’m pleased to report that the Microbe Guard treated surfaces have far exceeded my expectations in terms of non-toxicity to humans & animals, effectiveness against mold & mildew, and long term durability. There is practically no growth of molds or mildews on any of the treated substrates, and the line of demarcation between treated and control surfaces is very apparent due to the growth of molds on the untreated substrates. There also appears to be no reduction of the effectiveness of treatment where the substrates have been cleaned regularly, such as on shower walls and floors.

The Microbe Guard product appears to truly be a permanent, non-toxic, nanotechnology that mechanically destroys microbes and molds. It has proven to be exceptionally effective on all substrates, and in all instances tested.
